Thanks, Grandma and Grandpas!
KidZ KamP would like to thank all the gma’s and gpa’s who came out Wednesday for “Bring your Grandparents to KamP Night”. There was a great turn out and everyone had a lot of fun. The leaders appreciate your willingness to make the kiddos a priority and continue to bond together the generations in our loving church family.
Surveys and Prayers
No, we’re not saying there are so many surveys coming this Sunday that you should be praying…just that there will be both surveys and prayer guides with your bulletin.
- The first survey is for the bulletin redesign. You’ll number the four sample bulletins from the past month 1-4, with one being your favorite.
- Then, on the back is a Property Team survey with two sets of rankings for various projects, maintenance items and improvements the Property Team is considering. You’ll rank those items in order of your perceived priority as well. This information will help the Property Team and Consistory put together a plan for the upcoming years to make First a facility that supports the mission of making disciples in our community.
- Additionally, sign up for Family Fun at First using the form provided as well.
Place the completed surveys and signup in the offering plate or in the box on the Welcome Center. And you’ll also be given your February prayer guide, which starts Sunday (being Feb. 1). Keep persevering in prayer and send in your personal prayers for future editions.
The Scandal of the Kingdom Book Club
This book club led by Dave Nieboer of Haven Reformed starts Monday, Feb. 1, at 6:00pm. We currently have 6 people signed up, so we have space for 9 more attendees. The book is by Dallas Willard and talks about how the revolutionary spirituality of Jesus translates into practical Kingdom living. The club will have 9 meetings. Sign up in Church Center (More/Groups/Book Clubs), on the web at https://frcportage.churchcenter.com/groups/book-clubs/the-scandal-of-the-kingdom, or at the Welcome Desk.
