We lost, but we won!

Not to brag, but we won our first game! Although we forfeited due to insufficient players, we brought in some ringers from other teams and a great rec game that came down to making a run in the 7th inning on two outs and going ahead by one! Then our defense held and we walked away victorious. So just in case you’re one of the ladies in our church that mildly entertained playing but haven’t committed yet, know you’d join a bunch of winners. See Hayden or Gary Lewis to sign your contract.

Organ Sunday and lots of other things

This week we have a variety of things happening: Drew Hamlin will be baptized, Joe and Betty Hendrickson will join as members, some Portage Central students will share about a collection we can participate in and our worship will be on the organ. Worship Inter Ben has been practicing and we are excited to relive a worship style that was a significant part of our history. If you happen to be inviting a friend this Sunday, just let them know that this will be a little different than our other services, but we also hope it brings a lot of joy for those who have decades of worship with the organ.

May 2nd Spring Cleanup

Don’t forget to mark your calendars and polish your shovels for the May 2nd clean up. Help us get ready for a beautiful summer by knocking out some grounds and maintenance projects. Work will start at 9 and likely go through early afternoon. Lunch will be provided! See Tom St. Peter with questions. Sign up in the lobby or in Church Center.
