Happy Fourth of July and Out-of-Office Updates
We hope everyone has a great weekend celebrating the USA’s 250th birthday party. Stay safe, don’t step on any sparklers, and keep hydrated. The office will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Additionally, Kyle will be speaking at Miracle Camp next week and will be unavailable except for emergencies. Please pray that God would use the chapel times to help the Middle School campers fall more deeply in love with Jesus.
Youth Group on July 5 – ‘Merica Happy Birthday Party
We had a great kick-off to our summer of studying Philippians this past Sunday with the reading party! We read through the whole book three times! And ate a lot of pizza. This Sunday, July 5, join Ben and Derek as we put together a birthday bash for our great nation and study Philippians chapter 1, verses 9-11. Come decked out in jean shorts, cut-off sleeves or anything Red, White, and Blue. Water will also be involved. Bing them friends; may help you in the Revolutionary War Water Balloon fight.
Middle School – 4:30-6:00 PM at church
High School – 6:00-8:00 PM at church
Bring Items for the Kindness Acts/KGM Kids Camp
Two of our partner ministries team up over the summer to bless the kids at the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission with a VBS style summer camp. Our church can help the effort by helping supply activity resources and snacks. Please bring popsicles, individually wrapped snacks like chips or fruit snacks, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, flip flops and sunscreen. Donations can be put in the wooden donation box in the lobby next to the welcome center. Thanks for helping!
Save-the-Date Summer Events
Here are a few of the upcoming summer events to consider. More details will be shared shortly.
- 7/12 Student Ministry Beach Day – Sun and Sand in St. Joe for MS and HS. Leave right from church, back by 8:00pm. Parent drivers needed!
- 7/28 Summer Picnic – a fun mid-week potluck with activities for the whole family
- 8/7-9 Student Ministry Cedar Point Trip – Camp-out with CP on Saturday. More details soon!
- August Tigers Game – currently in the planning stages but hoping to get another all-church trip to root on our favorite D-Town ball club.
