Another Great Picnic!

Thank you to everyone who attended and the volunteers who made possible our second annual summer picnic! There were 109 official registrations and we estimate around 120 people eating delicious food, winning prizes, playing games and getting really messy with various pancake toppings and shaving cream. It was also fun singing this year (thanks Mr. Medema!) and tuning in to a news report by On-the-Beat-Babbet regarding the happenings with Moses and Aaron. Hopefully, hopefully all went well with their convo with Pharoah. The best part of the evening, though, was seeing people chatting, getting to know new friends, and smiling. So again, thanks for being a part of our church family having fun and getting to know one another. Can’t wait for next summer!

Tigers Game Almost Full

We’ve had a wonderful response to the August 18 Tiger’s Game event with 46 seats taken already. That leaves 10 seats remaining, so we encourage signing up quickly if you’re thinking about going. It’s a great variety of people, as well, from Middle Schooler to senior citizens, church attenders and outside friends. It should be a night to remember. Sign up is through Church Center (More, Sign-Ups, Tigers Game) or email or call the office.

How’s your “summer” walk with Christ?

We hope your summer has been filled with relaxation, fun vacations, and memories. But don’t forget that God is God all year long. Whether it’s the Bible Recap (keep going!!), prayer walks at night, picking a discipleship book for reading on the beach, or just choosing church instead of sleeping in, there are lots of ways to keep pursuing Christ, even over the summer. Oh, and don’t forget Operation Get-together. Maybe plan a hang out or coffee date with someone before the end of August. So keep going and keep growing!

And just a reminder that Communion will be served this Sunday (August 3rd). We hope you can make it for the observance of this sacrament and time of reflection.
