Prayer Guide for June is online
The June 2026 prayer guide is now available on the website and Church Center. Sorry for the delay in posting this month!
Congrats to Evie Douglass and Mattawan Tennis!
Evie Douglass and her doubles partner Addy Copeland made it to the Finals in the Division II State Tennis Tournament in Midland, MI, this week! Coming in as the 6th seed, they upset both 2 and 3 seeds on their way to the championship match, taking the 4 seed Forest Hills Central to three sets before defeat. This is a school record, as no other doubles team has made a State Finals appearance in school history. Also congratulations to teammate Ana Cheng for winning state at 1 singles and the rest of the Mattawan team for several additional wins over the two day contest.
Hayden’s Party and Kyle’s return to Student Ministry
Hayden has formally wrapped up his time as Student Ministry Intern. He will join us this Sunday for Graduation Sunday both to recognize the High School grads and also to be recognized himself as a graduate of WMU. From then, he will participate in youth events occasionally through the summer when his study and travel schedule allow. Then on June 28th following the service we will have a potluck send off for Hayden to officially recognize his time serving our youth. Stay tuned for for further party details!
While Consistory deliberates on Hayden’s replacement, Kyle will be stepping back into the Student Ministry game! Our youth are incredibly important to our church’s life, both in terms of discipling them as individuals as well as serving our families, so we will NOT be without opportunities for our kids to learn about Jesus with their friends. There will be regular meetings throughout the summer as well as a few fun events planned for both Middle and High School groups.
To kick off the summer activities and answer some of the questions that will come with our period of transition, we will have a student and parent meeting Sunday night June 14, 2026, 6-8pm at church. This will be for all Middle and High School students and hopefully at least one parent! More details will be emailed directly to families.
