Bowling League Paused
Due to an initial lack of interest this year, the 3rd Tuesday Bowling League will be put on hold for this year. If you’re a bowler and were looking forward to the league, please reach out to Kaylee Heystek. There may be opportunity for a one day bowling event sometime this year.
Operation Christmas Child
It’s time to fill some boxes to bless children all over the world this Christmas. Grab a shoe box at church and an instruction form and return your box(es) by November 10. We have a goal of 100 boxes this year! Contact Pam Reeves for more information.
Bethlehem Journey Cast Needs
We’re close, but still don’t have a full cast. We are excited about our current list of new and veteran actors but still have about 15 roles plus some little kiddos needed. Would you consider joining in?? Talk to Kyle about options as soon as possible. We are encouraging everyone to learn their lines over October and be ready for our first full cast meeting on November 10 at 11:00 AM.
Bits and Pieces
- Kyle has an opportunity to attend a pastor’s retreat Oct. 14-16, then a Michigan Catalyst Event on Oct. 17, finishing the week with the Jordan Valley Hike. Additionally, Pastor Steve has scheduled vacation this week, therefore please reach out to Peter Cook or your Care Elder if any needs arise.
- High School Board Game and CFB25 event at 2:00 PM at the church on Saturday 10/12.
- KidZ KamP Trick or Treat event on 10/23 at 6:30 PM.
- Trim and siding is going up on the entrance project today.

Prayer
- Wayne Block is back in the Vineyards, but now under hospice care. Please pray for comfort for him and for his surrounding family.
- Please pray for Kyle’s retreat, which involves self-reflection and training in personal health, leadership and life balance. Pray for personal growth and connections with the other pastors.
- For John Smith as he continues to strengthen at home.
- Please pray for those being contacted regarding placement on the slate for Consistory, for prayerful consideration.
- Pray for protection of Andy Axe (Hayden’s uncle) who is an A10 pilot currently in the Middle East. He was scheduled to return home recently but got extended indefinitely due to the rising tensions.
- Pray for the marriages and families in our church family and friend circles that may be experiencing conflict or hardship. Pray for healing, unity, and openness to help.
