Summer is over!! I don’t care wha the calendar says. But that’s ok, because the Fall rocks, too.
Fall Kick-off is this Sunday!
It’s finally here: a celebration of new things to come with Fall Kick-off. It’s been an incredible summer of administrative updating, technology additions, remodeling and planning. And all that work is building up to a Fall of fresh programming. Join us this Sunday, September 8th for worship at 9:30 AM, where Pastor Kyle will talk about “The Trellis and the Vine” and share the “Life@First Map” and the “SBS” discipleship model. Following the service, preview the new First Kids hallway with a scavenger hunt and peruse the Fellowship Hall for the Sign-up Fair and Team booths. At 11:30, food is served outside along with games and music. Bring your lawn chairs, $20 for ice bags to torture Kyle and Hayden in the dunk tank, and your appetite. See you there!
Jordan Valley Hike Registration is Open
Hey, Hikers/Sitters, the Men’s Jordan Valley overnight hike is October 18-19, 2024 and registration is now open both in the Church Center App (click “More”, then “Sign-ups”) or at this link: https://frcportage.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/2495107. The cost is free but we recommend pitching in for some gas money once drivers are set, plus your food cost. More info including the basic schedule is in the description of the event. If you don’t want to hike, it’s helpful to have some guys who just hang around the campsite and get food ready. Contact Kyle with questions.

- Donna Bush (connected to Cooks) finished oral chemo and is showing some improvement, with an interest to return to some hobbies.
- Cherie Horning has knee surgery this week.
- Praise God for good results for Laura VanSweden: her surgery was successful in removing the cancer spot and the spot on her lungs was an x-ray shadow.
- Pray for Alyssa Pfeifer (Kirby): the Air Force medical system is being unhelpful and difficult to navigate. Please pray for connection with good doctors who are willing to investigate her endocrine issue.
- Fall Kick-off, for excitement, positivity and involvement for people in things that will help them grow in Christ.
