It’s happening! Entrance construction is underway
The hole has been dug and the foundation is poured for the east entrance update. This project will address some sagging in the door framing, create an airlock for better efficiency and add a small overhang in the circle drive for drop offs in inclement weather. The foundation will be backfilled this week and a temporary walk way placed over the site to maintain access to the elevator on Sunday morning. A copy of the plans can be downloaded here. Thank you to the Newhouse brothers for their excavation work.
Church Bowling League!
Kaylee Heystek is organizing a church bowling league for the third Tuesday of the month at Airway Lanes on Portage Road. Cost per person is $13.50 for 3 games per week (sign up in advance but pay at the bowling alley). Individuals and couples welcome! Please sign up here or go to the GROUPS area in Church Center. You’ll submit a “Request to Join” and Kaylee will add you to the group. Contact Kaylee with any questions.
Basics Class: Hearing (Bible and Prayer 101) starts Sunday
A reminder to sign up for the Basics Class on learning how to connect with God through prayerfully studying His word. This class meets for 6 weeks from 11:00 – 12:00 Sunday morning. Sign up is also through GROUPS in the Church Center app or here. You may also email Cindi at office@frcportage.org to be added. You’ll need your Bible and something to write with. Depending on the size of the group, we will either meet in the Cry Room (behind the sanctuary) or in the Fellowship Hall.

Prayer and Praises
- Praise God for John Smith able to return home. Please pray for his procedure on Friday and that his heart would return to normal rhythm.
- Pray for Bethlehem Journey, that the cast would be filled and planning would continue smoothly.
- Pray for the budgeting process underway with leadership, for wisdom as well as God’s provision.
- The college students on the panel this past Sunday said that prayer was one of the best things we could do for them: please pray for Reese, Hayden, Marcus, and James.
